This waterfront re-development study represents a paradigm shift in Wawa’s outlook on nature: no longer about mere consumption, this scheme aims to defend and promote the region’s remaining natural environment. By abstracting elements of the surrounding Boreal Forest and Canadian Shield in exciting and educational ways along an eclectic boardwalk, Wawa promotes itself as a unique supporter of the region’s growing interest in Eco-Tourism.
